A significant 40% of its global employees are women
Datamatics Global Services Ltd. (DGSL), a global Technology, BPM and Digital Solutions company, today announced that it has been recognized amongst the top 10 companies in the private sector, by United Nations Global Compact Network India (UN GCNI), for its innovative practices of “Women at Work”. Datamatics case study was recognized for this honour, at the 3rd Best Innovative Practices Awards on 'Women at Workplace' at Gender Equality Summit 2020 (GES 2020) held in New Delhi in March, 2020. The program was attended by over 250 delegates from Government, businesses, civil society organizations, UN and its systems, donors, bi-lateral and multi-lateral organizations, and Academia.
GCNI has been acting as a country level platform for UNGC, and "Gender Equality" remains a key priority that aims at reducing gender discrimination at the workplace. The award seeks to promote women empowerment ensuring their full & effective participation and equal opportunity of leadership at all levels of decision making. The applicant companies are evaluated on parameters such as Enabling Environment, Safety and Security, Diversity, Talent Development and Mentoring.
Datamatics was recognized for its impressive gender diversity ratio of 40% of women employees globally. Also, 20% of its women employees held senior level positions in managerial and leadership roles. Datamatics also abides by all regulatory compliances like internal POSH Committee and guidelines for the Prevention of Sexual Harassment at the workplace.
Datamatics recently launched Datamatics Diversity Charter (DDC), an initiative to encourage diversity in the organization. The Charter has a three-pronged approach - Equity in the Workplace, Affirmative Actions, and an Inclusive work Environment for all, based on merit. Under the program, Datamatics will roll out a host of new initiatives for developing its women employees.
