Datamatics, a global Digital Solutions, Technology, and BPM Company, today announced that its Founder and Chairman, Dr. Lalit Kanodia, has been bestowed with the IMC Hinditron Late Hemant Sonawala, Digital Technology Awards 2020 – Lifetime Achievement Award. The award recognizes individuals who have made a considerable and lasting contribution to Digital Technologies in India over the last 25 plus years.
Dr. Kanodia is one of the pioneers in the Indian software and offshore services industry. He founded Datamatics in 1975, before which he was a founding member / CEO at Tata Consultancy Services in 1967.
As 'Chairman and Chief Mentor' at Datamatics, Dr. Kanodia drives innovation and new product development initiatives. His inspirational leadership has led Datamatics to be conferred with various awards over the years.
Dr. Kanodia is a distinguished Alumnus Awardee of IIT, Bombay, and Ford Foundation Fellow at MIT. He was a Consultant to Ford Motor Co., Arthur D. Little in the USA, Consultant to State Bank of India, etc., in India.
Dr. Kanodia has a plethora of experience in various fields. He was the President of Management Consultants of India (1979 – 1980); Honorary Consul of Chile in Mumbai (2002 – 2014); Executive Board Member of MIT, USA (2009 – 2016); National President of the Indo American Chamber of Commerce (2015 – 2016); and President of IMC Chamber of Commerce and Industry (2017 – 2018). He is currently a Member of the Advisory Board of Bombay University.
